The park is designed with the ranch homestead in mind. There are some genuinely interesting features and amenities in store for the occupants of the house.

Its landscape reflects the traditional building types of the ranch. Its buildings are designed to be durable and withstand the stress of weather and human interaction.
The Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department developed the park program after community meetings and through the efforts of elementary school children. They will use 30 acres of the park for recreation and education. It will feature a splash pad, a playground, and soccer fields.
It will also include fruit orchards, a watering hole as a spray ground, and a pavilion. The park will have soccer and pickleball fields, and a small artificial turf field.
It is also home to the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, which offers free admission Tuesday through Saturday. It is located in a restored 1903 El Paso County Courthouse building. Discover More about Colorado Springs here.
